Stable Hand/Groom
Stable Hand/Groom position is a fabulous opportunity for someone who is looking to grow their experience and knowledge working with horses. This job offers growth opportunities within the barn to the right candidate.
Position is 5 days, with one weekend shift. Shifts are both morning and afternoon. Morning chores start at 7am. Afternoon chores start times are based on the time of year. Pay: $16-$18 (starting pay is based of experience and what you have to offer as an employee).
JOB DUTIES include:
- Feeding, Blanketing, cleaning stalls, picking paddocks, grooming, bathing wrapping, hand grazing, setting jumps, hand walking, some other tasks may apply.
-This job does require manual labor.
Requirements:
- 2 years horse experience
- Ability to listen and follow directions as given.
- Reliable, showing up on time EVERYDAY.
-MUST be motivated and be willing to learn.
- Demonstrates positive employee image and effective guest and coworker relations by exhibiting attention to detail, congeniality, integrity, and sound judgement.
- 18 + years old, reliable transportation, valid driver's license
- ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Employee must adhere to Company and property policies and procedures, which are included in the Company’s Employee Handbook
