Stable Hand/Groom
Stable Hand/Groom position is a fabulous opportunity for someone who is looking to grow their experience and knowledge working with horses. This job offers growth opportunities within the barn to the right candidate.
Position is part time, with one weekend shift. Shifts are both morning and afternoon. Morning chores start at 7am. Afternoon chores start times are based on the time of year. Pay: $16-$18 (starting pay is based of experience and what you have to offer as an employee).
JOB DUTIES include:
- Feeding, Blanketing, cleaning stalls, picking paddocks, grooming, bathing wrapping, hand grazing, setting jumps, hand walking, some other tasks may apply.
-This job does require manual labor.
Requirements:
- 2 years horse experience
- Ability to listen and follow directions as given.
- Reliable, showing up on time EVERYDAY.
-MUST be motivated and be willing to learn.
- Demonstrates positive employee image and effective guest and coworker relations by exhibiting attention to detail, congeniality, integrity, and sound judgement.
- 18 + years old, reliable transportation, valid driver's license
- ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Employee must adhere to Company and property policies and procedures, which are included in the Company’s Employee Handbook
